As digital interactions affect the way people engage with brands, more and more are requesting content that feels interactive and immersive. This change is being fueled mainly by virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (XR). Even so, to produce real 3D content, artists still need a lot of support and sophisticated tools, plus they usually need to spend time and effort on each project.

Leia Inc. has built Immersity AI, which is a pioneering platform meant to address this gap. It utilises advanced artificial intelligence to turn 2D images and videos into 3D content rapidly, simply and for more people. In this article, you will find detailed explanations of Immersity AI’s technology, features, uses, costs, advantages and weaknesses that make it an important actor in digital content.

What is the technology of Immersity AI?

Using AI, Immersity AI changes images and videos into useful 3D assets. Using the Neural Depth Engine from Leia Inc., Immersity AI analyses objects in 2D media to make accurate depth maps. Thanks to depth maps, it is possible to make 3D images that adjust with the movement and perspective of the viewer.

Unlike before, Immersity AI allows users to bypass the tiresome and complicated part of traditional 3D modelling. Standard images and video files can be sent through the XR platform’s user interface, which transforms them into 3D assets suitable for any XR device, digital service or media outlet.

How Does AI from Immersity Work?

The Neural Depth Engine forms the main part of Immersity AI, as it was trained on much data on images and their depth characteristics. The AI checks the two-dimensional scene, separating foreground and background areas, edges of objects and plane depths. It goes on to construct a depth map—an image composed of grey values that denote the distance of each pixel from the viewer.

Linked with the regular image, the depth map allows us to see the scene in 3D layers. As a result, people see noticeable differences in how close items move compared to distant ones when the perspective changes, which helps create a realistic and engaging look.

Users can change the style of their output by choosing animation options, altering the depth effect or selecting the format needed for XR headsets like Apple Vision Pro or Meta Quest, Facebook or advertising purposes.

Important parts of Immersity AI

1. Transition from 2D to 3D takes little work.

Immersity AI’s best feature is that it can add 3D interactivity to everyday 2D images and videos, without needing any manual 3D modelling.

2. Neural Depth Engine

Proprietary AI from Leia Inc. makes sure this engine delivers highly accurate depth maps and smooth 3D features.

3. Cross-Platform Support

XR, smartphone, tablet and desktop devices can support the formats produced by Immersity AI.

4. Move your music from Apple Music to your phone.

Both musicians and content creators can use 3D motion effects that match Apple Music’s technical requirements for album covers.

5. Developer API

Developers can now include Immersity’s AI depth mapping in their software and applications.

6. User-Friendly Interface

Since Immersity AI is designed to be accessible, those who create immersive 3D worlds don’t need specialised knowledge in 3D technology.

7. Cloud-Based Processing

When processing large amounts of data, it’s done on the cloud to prevent overloading local machines and result in quicker responses.

How Immersity AI Is Being Used in the Real World

The technology from Immersity AI can support new ways of using AI in many different industries.

Marketing refers to the planning and execution of promotional activities for a company.

Brands have the option to design stunning 3D ads that will be memorable for most users. Beautiful visuals make campaigns more interesting and help them make a stronger impression.

The fields of Music & Entertainment

By turning album covers into 3D motion designs, artists can offer fans on Apple Music something different to look at.

Education and e-learning.

With Immersity AI, users can produce interactive 3D material for learning anatomy, architecture or history realistically and engagingly.

Virtual & Augmented Reality

It is now easy for developers to produce 3D assets for VR and AR, which helps cut content creation time and improves how VR and AR worlds feel.

E-Commerce

Online shops can offer shoppers a chance to view products in 3D that can be looked at from all sides, making online purchases better and reducing returns.

Pricing Plans

The company’s pricing scheme provides options for everyone from small businesses to large organisations.

1. Free Tier: Users can try basic 2D to 3D conversion, but can only export a few times, making it perfect for people who like to experiment.

2. Standard Plan: Includes extra features, raises the number of exports allowed and adds new presets suited to creators and small teams.

3. For businesses and organisations, we design custom Enterprise Solutions, including API, many users, personal support and added features.

Because its pricing is flexible, Immersity AI can be used by everyone from lone freelancers to large companies.

Advantages of Immersity AI

1. Simple 3D Creation

Both depth estimation and 3D generation are now handled automatically by Immersity AI, meaning there is no need for complicated software or expert knowledge.

2. High-Quality Realism

Depth maps created by Neural Depth Engine preserve image quality and animate motion naturally, leading to interesting and convincing 3D effects.

3. Multi-Device Compatibility

Enables you to view 3D content on VR headsets, mobile phones and on your computer through your web browser.

4. Cloud-Powered Scalability

Cloud processing makes it possible for users to work with many files at once, without putting pressure on their equipment.

5. Developer-Friendly API

Allows new solutions to match and connect well with existing applications, making it easy for businesses to update their workflows.

6. Cost-Effective

3D content creation for virtual reality becomes much faster and less expensive with Immersity AI.

Disadvantages of  Immersity AI

1. Internet Dependency

Because Immersity AI is cloud-based, you must have a steady internet connection to use it. People with unreliable or weak internet may notice lag in the program.

2. Not a Fully Functioning 3D Design Tool

Despite being great for changing 2D to 3D, the platform does not replace complete 3D modelling or animation software for making something entirely 3D.

3. You cannot fully use the app when you aren’t connected to the internet.

Working offline is hardly a choice when programs run in the cloud.

4. Subscription Costs

Earning creators or groups on a budget may want to go for paid plans, which add more features and give more room for uploading content.

5. When using Truncate, output customisation features are not available.

Users who want to customise their 3D projects on their own might discover that the software is not as flexible as other professional 3D solutions.

The Effects on Industry and What Lies Ahead

Immersity AI makes it much easier for everyone to produce immersive content. Reducing the difficulties and costs of 3D content allows everyone from marketers to educators to artists and developers to reach their audience in new ways.

As XR becomes more advanced and is used by more people, platforms will be crucial for filling the lack of content. Thanks to its developer API and cloud infrastructure, it fits well into the wider digital community.

Moving forward, AI, computer vision and real-time rendering are set to boost Immersity AI’s abilities. Some possible progress is stronger use of generative AI to generate scenes automatically, better interactivity and wider compatibility with immersive hardware.

Conclusion

Immersity AI uses AI to take basic 2D images and videos and make them into 3D scenes. Thanks to its simple design, great results and working on any device, it is a helpful choice for anyone interested in building 3D worlds.

Even without every feature a traditional 3D program has and the fact that the internet is needed, its convenience, speed and scalability are easy to see. Immersity AI’s innovative approach opens doors for marketers, educators, developers and content creators to see the real strength of emerging digital media.
