Professional networking with AI investors will gather at the Museum of the Future in Dubai for the Machines Can See event from April 23-24 as part of Dubai AI Week.
The Polynome Group which operates from the city has brought Machines Can See as its latest performance stage.
Machines Can See marks its third run this year by organising a conference where investors connect with business executives and public sector officials for AI-oriented expansion discussions. The conference named Machines Can See focuses specifically on computer vision since its title refers to this aspect.
Organisers expect the conference to feature AI technology demonstrations while also creating an environment where participants explore the technological possibilities displayed at the show. “We are not just shaping the future of AI, we are defining how AI shapes the world,” said Alexander Khanin, head of the Polynome Group.
UAE Government officials attending the event include H.E. Omar Sultan Al Olama, UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, and H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, the Director General of Digital Dubai.
Polynome Group has said that X will be the official streaming partner for Machines Can See 2025, and the US company will host workshops titled “X and AI” to show solutions that merge AI and streaming technologies, with GRok X central to those sessions. Via interactive demos, attendees will gain firsthand experience of GRok’s potential in AI delivery, analysis and optimisation.
Investment and business opportunities
UAE’s AI market will experience a $8.4 billion expansion within the upcoming two years which makes the summit a platform where investors can connect with AI startups and existing enterprises alongside government decision-makers. Machines Can See attendees will have access to investor meetings with venture capital firms and executive encounters and startup investment occasions with prominent AI firms including IBM and Amazon.
Amazon Prime Video & Studios, Amazon Web Services, Dubai Police, MBZUAI, IBM, SAP, Adia Lab, QuantumBlack and Yango serve as the various supporting entities for the summit. Many large-scale enterprises and organisations participating in the initiative create multiple funding opportunities and collaborative prospects to expand AI commercial applications.
Executives such as Eddy Farhat at e& capital and Faris Al Mazrui from Mubadala Development along with Major General Khalid Nasser Alrazooqi from Dubai Police UEA and Dr. Najwa Aaraj who leads TII join investors from Dubai and worldwide.
Speakers and insights
Multiple AI experts working in the United States will participate at the summit including Namik Hrle who is an IBM Fellow and Vice President at the IBM Software Group followed by Michael Bronstein who serves as DeepMind Professor of AI at Oxford University alongside Marc Pollefeys who teaches Computer Science at ETH Zurich and Gerard Medioni who leads Amazon Prime Video & Studio as VP and Distinguished Scientist and lastly Deva Ramanan who instructs at the Robotics Institute of Carnegie Mellon University.
The meeting will include a government session where global authorities will examine national IT development goals.
Gobind Singh Deo stands alongside H.E. Zhaslan Madiyev and H.E. Omar Sultan Al Olama as confirmed speakers for the event. All three speakers represent their respective positions in the governments of Malaysia, Kazakhstan, and the United Arab Emirates.
